Computer guided surgery is a major breakthrough in dental implants treatment planning. Both computer programs and a Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) are used to a fitter positioning of the dental implants. The computer program will combine x-ray and CBCT imagines and prints in order to print in 3D a model of the maxillary. The dentist will be able to see the correct and accurate implant position.
Dental survey – prints x-ray and CBCT
Surgical planning: the dentist will proceed transforming the collected digital image into a 3D model of the patient mouth and consequently a 3D print to be used on assembling day, enabling an adequate and accurate planning of the dental implants position. The dentist will discuss with the patient the surgical plan.
Implant surgery: using digital techniques aiding reducing surgery time
Place dental crown on the implant
Depending on the maxillary bone, between 2 to 6 months after implant surgery the patient may have the final restoration built in and assembled: a dental crown, a bridge or a denture.
What to expect from this treatment?
Using guided surgery, the dentist will know exactly, easily and accurately the position of each implant. The patient may expect a low invasive procedure, low time of recovery and in a general mode a smooth process from A-Z.
